Since its founding in 1959, the company has established as one of the world leader in the tent industry and introduced many, partly revolutionary developments in the market.
1959 Established for the production of tents with wooden frames
1965 Modernisation by using tents with steel frames
1975 Mass-production of the first clear-span aluminium tent structure
1976 Formation of the first subsidiary in France
1978 Move-in into the own company headquarters in Budingen-Wolferborn
1984 Introduction of the first RODER Two-Storey-Tent
1985 Formation of the subsidiary in the United Kingdom
1988 Start of the exclusive Formula One Paddock Club cooperation
1989 Formation of the subsidiary in Italy
1991 Formation of the subsidiary in Switzerland
1992 Introduction on the stock exchange
RODER provided the Olympic Games in Barcelona with tents
1994 Take over of the majority shareholding by Klockner & Co AG
RODER provided the Olympic Winter Games in Lillehammer with tents

around 20 countries worldwide
1998 Take over of the majority shareholding by plettac AG
1999 Acquisition of the product range "Textiles Bauen" of plettac AG
2002 Management Buy Out by the Management Team
